Bhubaneswar, Jan 7: The number of zones for the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) examinations increased to six with Jeypore added as the new zone.

Earlier, the exam was conducted in five zones across the State. Jeypore was named as the sixth zone on a suggestion made by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi to employment commissions on June 1.

The Chief Minister had suggested to the Odisha Public Service Commission to set up an examination centre at Jeypore in Koraput district.

Considering the CM's suggestion, the OPSC has issued a notification today to this effect. With Jeypore named the OPSC's new exam zone, job seekers in southern Odisha are likely to benefit greatly.
