Jagatsinghpur, Mar 22: Unidentified miscreants reportedly looted gold ornaments worth over Rs 10 lakhs from a jewellery shop owner at gunpoint under Kujanga police limits in Jagatsinghpur district Friday night.

According to reports, the incident took place when the owner of Shantilata jewellery shop was returning home after closing his shop at Kujanga. Meanwhile, some unidentified miscreants intercepted the victim and made away with the bag containing gold ornaments worth over Rs 10 lakhs.

Following the incident, the victim lodged a complaint with Kujanga police and based on the FIR a case was registered.

Taking note of the report, police have initiated a probe and launched a search operation to nab the robbers.
