Jeweller Robbed Of Ornaments Worth Rs 30 Lakh At Gunpoint

Mayurbhanj, Apr 24: Unidentified armed miscreants made away with a bag containing gold ornaments worth Rs 30 lakh near Balimunda Chhak under Khunta police limits in Mayurbhanj's Baripada.
According to reports, the incident occurred when one Narayan Sahu, owner of Mahalaxmi jewellery shop, was returning home at Khunta. Meanwhile, four armed assailants intercepted him. When opposed, the miscreants held Narayan at gunpoint and asked to handover the bag containing gold and cash.
Despite his attempt to escape, the robbers managed to overpower him and fled with the valuables worth Rs 30 lakh. Following the incident, Narayan sustained injuries.
Later, the victim approached the local police station and lodged a complaint.
On basis of the complaint, police registered a case and initiated a probe.
