Bhubaneswar, Apr 16: The Jatra Artists' Union has extended unwavering support to famous Odia Jatra comedian Nari Panda amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding his ban.

Union advisor Bapi Panda has alleged a larger conspiracy aimed at suppressing the matter and emphasized the need for a fair investigation. The union has vowed to stand by Nari Panda until justice is served.

In a stern warning to Jatra owners, the union declared that any action against artists would be met with strong resistance. They even hinted at halting Jatra performances if necessary.

The union has said that, if necessary, it will approach the Director General of Police, demanding a polygraph test for Nari Panda and a thorough investigation into the allegations.

The union has also expressed its willingness to escalate the matter to the Chief Minister if required. Highlighting the lack of coordination between artists and Jatra owners, the union stressed the importance of resolving disputes amicably to ensure the survival of the art form and the dignity of artists.
