As of the latest readings, the river is flowing at 6.03 meters, surpassing the warning level of 6.00 meters. The danger mark for the river stands at 6.50 meters, and officials are closely monitoring the situation.

The increase in water level is attributed to continuous light rainfall across northern Odisha, caused by a low-pressure system. Meteorological forecasts suggest that the rainfall may persist over the next 24 hours.
