Chandikhol, Mar 11: A massive fire broke out in a tyre godown at Chandikhol in Jajpur District in Odisha late Monday night.

The impact of the fire was so massive that the nearby areas were covered with a cloud of smoke. Fire fighters had to toil hard for hours to contain the fire.

According to reports, more than 700 tyres were burned in the fire mishap. The fire fighters of Chandikhol Fire Station reportedly toiled hard for nearly four hours.

However, they failed to contain the fire, and they had to seek help from Dharmasala’s Chadeidhara Fire Station. Even the fire fighters from both the fire stations managed to contain the fire after struggling for hours.

It is yet to be ascertained what caused such a massive fire outbreak. More details are awaited in this connection.
