Bhubaneswar, Jun 19: The officials of Income Tax (IT) Department on Thursday conducted surprise raids at the residence of former minister Naba Das.
According to reports, the raids were conducted at over 20 locations in connection with alleged tax evasion.
Sources indicate that IT teams carried out searches in Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, and Delhi as part of the ongoing investigation.
The large-scale operation involved 20 teams of IT officials, with over 100 officers participating in the raids.
Additionally, 40 personnel from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were deployed to assist in the process.
