Bhubaneswar, Jun 21: The spirit of wellness and mindfulness resonated powerfully across Odisha as International Yoga Day 2025 was celebrated with remarkable fervour at the iconic Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.
Thousands gathered at the venue early in the morning to participate in mass yoga demonstrations and wellness activities.
The celebration witnessed the esteemed presence of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, State Sports Minister Suryabanshi Suraj, and BJP State President Manmohan Samal.
Accompanying them were Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, several senior bureaucrats, and eminent personalities from across the state who came together to promote the significance of yoga as a global symbol of physical and mental harmony.
In view of the day, the Department of Sports and Youth Services had issued statewide directives for celebrating Yoga Day in educational institutions and other organizations. Following the government’s instructions, various schools, colleges, and institutions actively organized yoga sessions, workshops, and awareness campaigns, making the event a statewide festival of holistic health.
Colorful performances, interactive yoga sessions, and motivational speeches created a rejuvenating ambiance, inspiring citizens of all ages to embrace yoga as a way of life. The synchronized asanas performed by schoolchildren and yoga enthusiasts added vibrance and unity to the celebrations.
