Nuapada, Jun 25: In yet another case, a patient was carried on cot for nearly a kilometre due to unavailability of proper road. The incident was reported from Mahulpada village under Kendumunda Panchayat in Sinapali block.

According to reports, one Gadadhar Naik, sustained injuries while working in the field. Following this, his family members called a Bolero for transporting him to the hospital. However, it could not reach the village due to the deteriorated road conditions.

As a result, the victim's family members carried him on a makeshift cot to where the vehicle was stuck. 
Later, he was shifted to hospital.
