Bhubaneswar, Feb 6: The Silver Jubilee reunion of Indian Navy Batch 01/2001 was held on Jan. 30 and 31 in Puri, bringing together around 450 former personnel from across the country to mark 25 years since their induction.

The two-day event began with a welcome session and interaction with former instructors from INS Chilka, where the batch underwent initial training in 2001. Participants observed a two-minute silence in memory of deceased batchmates.

On the second day, the group visited INS Chilka. The Commanding Officer hosted the attendees and organised a lunch. Batch representatives presented a memento to the institution during the visit.

The reunion concluded with a gala evening.

The event was organised by veterans of Batch 01/2001 based in Odisha. Key organisers included Sujit Giri, Sushil Kar, Taraprasad Behera, Prakash Kumar Swain, Sujit Misra, Debadatta Das, Bibhu Jena, Sukant Behera, Thakur Jena and Sushil Patra.
