Public Awareness

This exercise also served to educate the public about the Coast Guard’s role in ensuring 24x7 protection of India’s waters. With the 49th Indian Coast Guard Day to be celebrated on February 1, the Paradip drill was a timely reminder of the force’s dedication to maritime law enforcement, search and rescue operations, and safeguarding nine coastal states including Odisha, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, West Bengal, and the union territories of Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Puducherry.

Commitment to Security

By conducting such drills, the Indian Coast Guard reinforces its readiness to respond to emergencies and its unwavering commitment to protecting India’s maritime frontiers.
