In First Decision, Odisha Cabinet Nod To Open All 4 Gates Of Puri Srimandir, Rs 3,100 MSP For Paddy

Bhubaneswar, June 12: Hours after taking oath as the new Chief Minister of Odisha, Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday chaired the first State Cabinet meeting of the new government and approved four major proposals including the opening of all four gates of Puri Srimandir as promised during the 2024 general elections.
After Chairing the maiden Cabinet meeting, CM Majhi said all the four gates of Puri Srimandir will be opened for the devotees tomorrow morning in the presence of all the the members of The Council Of Ministers.
"As promised, all the four gates of Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri will be opened for the devotees on June 13 soon after the "Mangal Arati" rituals of the Temple," Majhi told reporters after the Cabinet meeting.

✨The Chief Minister further said that the State Cabinet approved a corpus fund of Rs 500 crore for the conservation, preservation, proper management and development of the 12th century shrine.
Majhi added that the Cabinet approved the Rs3,100 minimum support price (MSP) per quintal for paddy procurement under 'Samrudhha Krushak policy' .
The Cabinet also approved the implementation of the Subhadra scheme in next 100 days in which Rs 50,000 cash voucher will be provided to women across the State, the Chief Minister said.
