Bhubaneswar, Nov 28: Odisha is set to experience noticeably colder nights, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicting a fall of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in minimum temperatures over the next two days.
In its latest bulletin, the IMD said night temperatures will remain low briefly before gradually rising by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over the subsequent five days. This temperature shift is expected across several districts as the state transitions deeper into winter conditions.
Alongside the temperature dip, the IMD has issued a Yellow Warning for dense fog in four districts. Up to November 28, and again from November 28 to 29, dense fog is very likely at one or two places in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Kandhamal and Koraput districts. The agency cautioned that visibility may drop significantly during early morning hours in these regions.

Despite the fog alerts, dry weather is likely to prevail across all districts of Odisha throughout the forecast period. No rainfall has been predicted.
With cooler nights and foggy mornings on the cards, the IMD has advised commuters, especially those travelling before sunrise, to stay alert for sudden visibility reduction in the warned districts.
