The prime accused, Sikandar Ali, along with over 30 others, managed to flee during the raid. Police sources revealed that Ali had been under surveillance since October. Once employed in the merchant navy, he allegedly abandoned his job to establish the madrasa illegally.
Reports suggest that children from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh were being brought to the madrasa to receive religious education.

The incident has triggered widespread discussions in the
region, with authorities tightening surveillance on suspected illegal
settlements. The police have assured that efforts are underway to track down
the absconding individuals and bring them to justice.
