Satyabadi, Aug 31: Satyabadi Police on Sunday seized 150 bottles of banned cough syrup valued at approximately Rs 30,000 during a raid. Three persons have also been arrested in connection with the case.

Acting on intelligence inputs, a team raided a location and apprehended three persons allegedly involved in the illegal trade. It led to recovery of 150 sealed bottles of cough syrup, which is suspected to contain codeine—a controlled substance often misused for recreational purposes.

Alongside the contraband, police also seized a Hero Honda motorcycle believed to have been used in the transportation of the banned substance.

The accused are currently being interrogated, and further investigation is underway to trace the source and network behind the distribution.
