Cuttack, Jul 26: In a significant breakthrough, Special Squad of the Commissionerate Police on Saturday busted a major illegal arms racket.

Acting on reliable inputs, the Special Squad team conducted a raid and arrested six arms dealers. The operation also led to the seizure of five firearms.

According to police sources, each accused has multiple cases registered across various police stations.

The arrests mark a major step in curbing organized crime and arms trafficking in the region.

The crackdown is part of an intensified drive against interstate criminal syndicates.

Authorities are continuing to probe the network’s reach and possible connections to other illegal activities.
