Bhubaneswar, July 2: In a nationwide clarification, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) have jointly confirmed after extensive investigation that there is no connection between COVID-19 vaccines and sudden deaths among young people.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare emphasized that the vaccines are completely safe and pose no danger to public health. Based on scientific evidence, the ministry stated that no data supports the claim that vaccines are responsible for sudden deaths.
This conclusion follows a detailed study by ICMR and AIIMS, which was prompted by public concern over a perceived rise in sudden deaths among adults post-COVID.
However, the findings clearly show that COVID-19 vaccines are not linked to such fatalities. The ministry acknowledged that in rare cases, some individuals may experience side effects, but these are not life-threatening.
