Sambalpur, Jul 12: In a significant political development, Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram announced that he will no longer contest elections.
Speaking at a Rozgar Mela (employment fair) held in Sambalpur, Oram stated that while he will continue working for his party, he has made a personal decision to step away from electoral politics.
“I will not contest elections anymore. I will remain in the party and work for it, but I won’t be a candidate,” Oram said. He emphasized that his decision is personal and not influenced by any external pressure. “I am not leaving the party. I will continue to serve it. But it’s time the new generation gets a chance,” he added.
