Angul, Mar 28: In a heartfelt homage to the late national leader, Dr. Debendra Pradhan, a solemn yet vibrant event unfolded at Shree Gopal Goshala in Angul's Rantalei village.

Senior BJP leader Kalandi Samal led a unique program that combined tradition, reverence, and community spirit. The event featured a special “Go Poojan” ceremony, where the revered Gomata (Mother Cow) was worshipped, accompanied by ceremonial offerings such as camphor alathi, gud (jaggery), and dalia prasada.

The tribute culminated with a collective Homa Yagna, invoking prayers for the liberation of Dr. Debendra Pradhan’s soul.

Members of the gaushala and many cow protectors actively participated in the event.

Earlier on Thursday, a memorial service was held at Dr. Debendra Pradhan’s house in Angul where several political leaders paid homage.

Prominent figures, including Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, were present.

Pradhan was particularly recognised for his contributions to the welfare of poor and neglected sections of the society.
