Nabarangpur, Jun 16: A terrifying honey bee attack disrupted a picnic in the Jharigam-Chandahandi valley, leaving seven employees of Chandahandi LAMPS seriously injured. The incident occurred on Sunday, when over 20 employees had gathered for a picnic in the scenic valley.
While enjoying their meal, the group was suddenly swarmed by aggressive honey bees, causing panic among the attendees.
Most managed to escape, but seven employees were left behind, suffering multiple stings. Among them, three individuals sustained critical injuries, prompting their immediate transfer to Nabarangpur District Headquarters Hospital.
Rescue & Medical Response
Local villagers rushed to the scene and rescued the injured, transporting them to Chandahandi Community Health Centre via ambulance.
Doctors removed over 20 bee stingers from the bodies of the critically injured victims. While three employees recovered and returned home, the condition of Debisingh Ganda, Jagannath Pujari, and Sadananda Majhi remains serious, requiring advanced medical care.
