Cuttack,
Nov 1: The iconic Baliyatra 2025 will be organised across both the Lower and Upper Baliyatra Ground areas in Cuttack, confirmed District Collector Dattatraya
Bhausaheb Shinde.
So far, as
many as 20 stalls have already been allotted, primarily for traditional food
and handicraft items.
The
collector stated that other interested vendors can also apply for stalls, which
will be provided at concessional rates. This decision comes after initial
hesitation from the traders’ association, which had earlier requested that no
business activities be conducted on the upper Baliyatra ground area.
Due to this
request, there had been uncertainty over whether stalls would be allowed in
that section. However, with some traders now agreeing to set up stalls there,
preparations have begun in full swing for stall allocation and setup.
The move is
expected to enhance the scale and reach of the Historic Cuttack Baliyatra 2025.
