Cuttack, Nov 13: The Historic Baliyatra Cuttack 2025 witnessed an overwhelming turnout on its concluding evening on Thursday as thousands of people gathered at the lower Baliyatra ground to enjoy the much-anticipated performance by Bollywood playback singer Shreya Ghoshal.

The cultural event, held at the Ganakabi Baishnab Pani stage, turned into a musical extravaganza as Shreya’s melodious voice enthralled the audience. The stage came alive with music and excitement, marking a fitting finale to one of Asia’s largest open-air fairs.

The programme began at 7:30 PM, and the moment Shreya stepped onto the stage, the crowd erupted with cheers. Her soulful renditions created a magical atmosphere, drawing even more people into the venue. Crowd Chaos Amid Celebration

A stampede-like situation emerged during the performance, resulting in three individuals fainting amid the pushing and shoving. Two of them were promptly rescued and rushed to hospital by ambulance for treatment. The incident highlighted the challenges of crowd management at mega cultural events of this scale.
