High School Dropout! Unlicensed Doctor Running Clinic in Ganjam Arrested

Key Points

Aryapalli police arrest an unlicensed doctor running an illegal clinic, endangering patients with unauthorized medical practice.

Ganjam, May 27: Aryapalli police in Ganjam district have apprehended a fraudulent doctor, Prasanjit Sarkar, who had been illegally running a clinic without proper qualifications and a medical license for over a year and a half.

Sarkar, a resident from West Bengal, had allegedly been treating patients in Aryapalli despite being only a high school dropout.

Authorities received multiple complaints over the past few months regarding an unlicensed doctor operating in the region. Acting on these reports, the Aryapalli Marine Police Station conducted raids across Aryapalli and nearby areas. During the investigation, officers discovered that Sarkar was running an unauthorised clinic at Gandhi Square.

Upon inspection, police confirmed that Sarkar had no valid license and was conducting medical practice illegally. His educational qualification was found to be no higher than a matriculation failure. Despite his lack of credentials, he had been prescribing medicines and treating patients.

The police immediately arrested Sarkar and seized a significant amount of medicines from his clinic. Law enforcement officials have assured that such crackdowns will continue to prevent quack doctors from endangering public health.
