Commotion / High Drama at CBI Office in Bhubaneswar as Woman Forces Way Inside; Probe Underway

Bhubaneswar, Aug 13: High drama unfolded at the CBI office in Bhubaneswar after a woman created a commotion outside the premises before forcing her way inside while seeking to lodge a complaint, a source said on Thursday.

According to the source, the woman allegedly entered the CBI office and engaged in a heated exchange with officials, reportedly abusing them and creating a disturbance inside the premises.

Police Reach Spot
After being informed about the incident, a PCR team reached the CBI office, followed by women police personnel from Nayapally police station.

The police personnel tried to pacify the woman and persuade her to leave, but she allegedly refused to listen to them.

45-Minute Struggle To Remove Woman
Police faced considerable difficulty while trying to bring the situation under control.

During the attempt to escort her out of the CBI office, the woman resisted and engaged in a scuffle with the police personnel. Several police personnel sustained minor injuries during the confrontation.

After nearly 45 minutes, police managed to bring the woman out of the CBI office.

Woman Leaves With Another Person
After coming out of the office, the woman sought a lift and left the area with another person, the source informed.

Police personnel were deployed outside the CBI office as a precautionary measure to prevent any further untoward incident.

Police Probe Woman’s Complaint
Meanwhile, police are looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident, including the identity of the woman, the reason for her visit to the CBI office and the nature of the complaint she had reportedly come to submit.
