Bhubaneswar, July 30: A fresh low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal is likely to trigger heavy rainfall over several districts in Odisha for the next four days, India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Tuesday.
The IMD's Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre issued a yellow warning (be updated) for heavy rainfall over the five districts- Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak and Jajpur today.
The Met Centre also predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Nayagarh, Angul, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Boudh, Khurda, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Koraput, Malkangiri, Deogarh, and Sundargarh districts on July 31.
Besides, light to moderate rainfall is likely to occur in many other parts of the state, it said.

✨Similar rainfall activity will continue in several districts of the state till August 2, the latest bulletin said.
Meanwhile, the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) asked all the District Collectors to keep the administrative machinery ready for any eventuality due the rainfall activity.
