Bhubaneswar, Aug 30: The State government has decided to open new government colleges in three districts- Kendrapara, Jagatsinghopur, and Jharsuguda.
Higher Education Minister Suryabansi Suraj said this in the State Assembly in response to a question from BJD MLA Ganeshwar Behera.
The Minister also said that the State government is mulling to bring back the senate system in the universities soon.
He said the Univerisity Amendment Act- 2020 will be recorrected to reaffirm the senate system. He said self-governance will be restored in the universities and the power of recruitment will be vested in them.
