Sundargarh, May 18: At least four wagons of a goods train carrying iron derailed near Dam Basti at Bimalagarh railway station in Sundargarh district.

According to reports, the mishap took place when the train was en route from Roxy railway siding to Dam Basti. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported, but the incident has caused significant disruptions in rail traffic.

Following the incident, railway staff rushed to the scene to restore the tracks and bring the derailed bogies back on track. Later, Chakradharpur Railway Division DM arrived at the site to oversee the restoration efforts.

Meanwhile, a technical investigation has been ordered to determine the exact cause of the derailment.
