Bhubaneswar, Apr 19: Sadhvi Sail from Goa was crowned Femina Miss India 2026 at a grand finale held at KIIT University on Saturday night, earning the honour to represent India at the Miss World pageant.

Raj Nandini Pawar from Maharashtra was declared first runner-up, while Sree Advaita G secured the second runner-up position.

The winners were crowned by outgoing titleholders Nikita Porwal, Rekha Pandey and Aayushi Dholakia.

The 61st edition of the prestigious pageant was hosted in Odisha for the first time, turning Bhubaneswar into a hub of glamour, fashion and entertainment.

The event at KIIT Campus 13 Cricket Stadium was inaugurated with a ceremonial lamp lighting by dignitaries, including M Beena, Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan, Bhubaneswar Mayor Sulochana Das, Vineet Jain and KIIT founder Achyuta Samanta. The evening was hosted by Maniesh Paul and Sara Jane Dias.

Addressing the gathering, Achyuta Samanta described the occasion as historic, noting that the city had welcomed contestants over the past week while showcasing Odisha’s culture and hospitality.

From 30 participants, the competition narrowed down to the top 15, including Odisha’s Ayushi Panda. Each finalist delivered a 45-second introduction outlining their journey and aspirations. Ayushi, however, missed out on a place in the top eight.
