Jagatsinghpur, Apr 4: A horrifying fire accident struck the Muslim colony in Nuada Tarikunda under Raghunathpur police station in Jagatsinghpur district, Odisha, burning down five houses during the night as residents slept.
The fire was reportedly caused by a gas cylinder explosion, leaving four individuals critically injured. The injured include Tarunum Jahna, Sheikh Israfin, and Rizwana Parbin, who were asleep at the time of the explosion.
They were immediately hospitalised, receiving treatment for their severe injuries. The blaze destroyed valuable possessions, including gold jewellery, furniture, and household items worth lakhs of rupees.
Firefighters arrived late at night, promptly bringing the flames under control and preventing further spread. However, the aftermath of the disaster left the victims with ruined homes and shattered lives.
