Behrampur, Apr 13: Two people were killed and four others sustained critical injuries in three separate road accidents in Ganjam district on Monday.

Deepak Bisoyi of Deogaon village of Khajapalli gram panchayat under Kabisuryanagar was killed after being hit by an unknown vehicle at Budhamba. He was going to watch Meru Yatra at Kabisuryanagar.

Similarly, one person was killed and three others sustained critical injuries as a scooty and a motorbike collided head-on at Balisira under Aska police station limits in the district. The deceased was identified as Girija Shankar Mishra (57) of Potapalli village of Mundamarei gram panchayat.

According to the information, Girija Shankar Mishra, along with his wife Barsha Rani Mishra and daughter Vishakha Mishra, was returning to his village from Bhanjanagar when the bike they were riding collided with a scooter coming from the opposite direction. Girija Shankar Mishra died on the spot.

Similarly, 32-year-old Lipu Mohanty of Dharakote panchayat of Dharakote block was critically injured as his motorcycle collided with a Bolero near Kaithara under Dharakote police station in the evening.
