Ganjam, Aug 21: Panic has gripped Kusurab and Laxmipur villages in Ganjam district after a stray dog attacked at least 10 residents, leaving them injured.

The victims, which include both men and women, were immediately rushed to Asika Medical Center for treatment.

According to reports, the attack occurred early in the morning when residents were heading out for daily chores. The dogs, reportedly aggressive and roaming in packs, attacked multiple individuals before villagers managed to chase them away.

Medical officials at Asika confirmed that the injured are receiving treatment and are currently stable.

However, the incident has raised serious concerns about public safety and stray animal control in the region.

Local authorities have been alerted, and efforts are underway to identify and contain the stray dogs responsible.

Residents are urging the administration to take swift action to prevent further incidents and ensure the safety of the community.
