Bolangir, Jul 15: In a joint operation, the officials of the Excise Department and Railway Protection Force (RPF), on Tuesday seized 12.4 kilograms of ganja at Kantabanji Railway Station in Bolangir. 

The officials have also arrested one person in connection with the case. The accused, identified as Shankar Bishi from Nuapali village in Boudh district, was arrested on the spot.

According to reports, the contraband was intercepted during routine checks on outbound trains.

Officials confirmed that the ganja was being transported to another state, and further investigation is underway to uncover the broader network behind the smuggling attempt.
