Balasore, May 23: In a shocking incident from Bhograi block in Odisha’s Balasore district, a youth died by suicide after his mother barred him from playing mobile games.
According to reports, the victim, Anand Mirdha, of Kirtania village, was reportedly engrossed in playing Free Fire on his mobile phone when his mother, Savita Mirdha, took the device away, forbidding him from continuing.
Following this confrontation, Anand left home and was later found hanging from a tree near their residence.
The grief-stricken family filed a complaint at Lakshmipatna police station, prompting authorities to initiate an investigation.
Police has reportedly seized Anand’s body for post-mortem. More details awaited.
