Balangir, Apr 19: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated the OVO Farm Egg Processing Plant in Barakani, Balangir, on Saturday.

The plant, established by OVO Farm Private Limited under the leadership of Soumendra Mishra and Samarendra Mishra, aims to enhance agricultural processing and create employment opportunities in the region.

Speaking at the event, Union Minister Pradhan hailed the initiative as a reflection of determination and innovation, setting an example for aspiring industrial ventures across Odisha.

He emphasised the potential of Balangir, an aspirational district, to emerge as a global player in agricultural processing through initiatives like this plant. The facility will produce high-quality egg powder for global markets, strengthening the local economy and generating employment.

Highlighting the plant’s significance, the Union Education Minister praised its ability to encourage youth to become entrepreneurs. He called upon the people of Balangir to leverage such opportunities and contribute to building an industrial-friendly environment in the district.

The OVO Farm initiative aligns with the government’s vision to modernize the agricultural sector with advanced technologies.
