Funds Sanctioned For Upgradation Of 2 Stretches On NH-55 In Sambalpur: Pradhan

Bhubaneswar, Jan 8: Union Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday informed that on his request Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has sanctioned funds for the upgradation of roads from Naksapali junction to Dhanupali Chhak and Dhanupali Chhak to Sindurpankh on NH-55 in Sambalpur and the illumination of the roads.
Pradhan thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Road Transport and Highways Minister for approval of the funds.
Notably, Pradhan had on November 7 written to Gadkari for upgradation and illumination of the two stretches of the NH. In his letter, Pradhan apprised Gakari that construction of the two stretches of the NH-55- from Naksapali junction to Dhanupali Chhak and Dhanupali Chhak to Sindurpankh- was going on but upgradation and illumination were required.

✨Pradhan said, by getting the approval for the simultaneous improvement and electrification, these two roads will accelerate the local economy. The people of nearby areas including Sambalpur will be particularly benefited. Modi guarantees to give priority to public transportation facilities. Modi government is always committed to speed up the development of highways, said Pradhan.
