Angul, May 18: In a tragic incident, a youth collapsed and died while playing cricket at Badasada village under Khamar police station limits in Pallahara in Odisha's Angul district, a source said Monday.
The deceased was identified as Sabuja Balaya Pradhan from Badasada village.
According to the source, Sabuja was working in Department of Posts. As it was Sunday, he had reportedly organised a feast with friends before going to the village playground to play cricket.
While batting during the match, he suddenly complained of severe chest pain and lost consciousness on the field.
He was immediately rushed in a critical condition to the Khamar Community Health Centre, where doctors declared him dead.
Locals said Sabuja was a talented cricketer and a friendly, well-known youth in the area. His sudden death has cast a pall of gloom across the locality.

Minor Migrant Worker Dies In Tractor Accident
In another tragic incident, a minor boy from Bariali village under Turekela block in Balangir district, who had gone outside the state for labour work, reportedly died after being crushed under a tractor at a brick kiln.
According to a source, the minor had migrated outside Odisha to work at a brick kiln to support his family financially.

The source informed that the boy died after allegedly being run over by a tractor at the worksite.
Family members and villagers alleged that efforts were being made to suppress the incident by offering compensation of around Rs 1.5 lakh.
A grief-stricken atmosphere prevailed in the village after the minor’s body reached home.
Locals demanded immediate government assistance and compensation for the poor bereaved family.
