Bhubaneswar, Apr 6: Odisha, which is reeling under intense heat wave conditions, on Saturday recorded maximum teperature of 43 degree Celsius and above at four places, informed he India Meteorological Department (IMD).

According to the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre, Angul was the hottest place in the State with a maximum (day) temperature of 43.5 degree Celsius, followed by Malkangiri with 43.2 degree Celsius, and Boudh & Titlagarh with 43 degree Celsius each.

The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack registered maximum temperatures of 39.6 degree Celsius and 40.1degree Celsius respectively.

The Meteorological Centre said there will be no major change in maximum temperature during next 24 hours while it may fall by 2-4 degree Celsius in subsequent two days and no large change thereafter at many places in the State.

Meanwhile, the State government issued guidelines for the districts on ways to tackle the heat wave conditions.
