His political journey spanned decades, during which he served multiple terms as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Biramitrapur constituency in Sundargarh district.
Sources close to the family confirmed that Tirkey had been battling health complications for some time. Despite receiving advanced medical care, his condition deteriorated, leading to his demise.
