Bhubaneswar, Dec 30: A woman was found dead from the bathroom of a private hostel in Adarsh Vihar in Bhubaneswar, Monday. Police have recovered the hanging body.
The deceased has been identified as Sonali Sanghamitra Parida, a food vlogger. She was a native of Marsaghai in Kendrapara district. Sonali was working at a real estate company in the capital city.
As per the report, she was staying at the ladies' hostel for the past three years. In addition, she was doing food vlogging, presumably following her passion.
She was reportedly alone in the room as her roommates were at their respective homes for new year celebrations.
Police have registered the matter as an unnatural death and started an investigation. It is yet to be confirmed whether it is a case of suicide or murder.
Reacting to Sonali's death, her father said that he had called Sonali Saturday. However, she hadn't responded to any of his calls since then, informed her father. Later, he called the hostel to find out the wellbeing of her daughter in suspicion.
The hostel staff checked her room and found her dead. They immediately informed police, who arrived at the scene and recovered the body. Police have seized Sonali's mobile phone, which is suspected to reveal something related to her death.
