Balasore, Jul 19: The investigation into the death of a female student at FM Autonomous College, Balasore, has intensified with multiple agencies involved.

 

On the second day of the probe, teams from both the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Higher Education Department arrived at the college campus to question officials and gather evidence.

 

A fact-finding team from the Higher Education Department conducted interviews with members of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), marking the continuation of marathon interrogations that had begun the previous day with the UGC team. Both committees questioned college authorities and ICC officials about the circumstances surrounding the student’s tragic death.

 

Simultaneously, a Crime Branch team visited the student’s residence in Palasia, Bhograi, speaking to her family and collecting further details. Investigators reached out to the student’s village with information gathered from the college to deepen their understanding of her background and any prior complaints.
