Paradip, Aug 30: A fishing expedition turned into a tense rescue operation at Paradip Fishing Harbour when a boat met with an accident while heading out to sea.
The incident occurred as one vessel was navigating to collect supplies and collided with another boat that was partially submerged in the water.
The impact caused significant damage to the hull of the moving boat, allowing seawater to rush in rapidly. Fearing that the vessel might sink, the crew raised an emergency alert. The mishap took place within the harbour limits, prompting swift action from local authorities.
