Cuttack, July 30: The season’s first floodwaters of the Mahanadi released from Hirakud Dam on Sunday arrived at Mundali barrage, Tuesday morning.
According to reports, the first flood water arrived between 1 am and 2 am and about 2.2 lakh cusecs of water were reported flowing through the Mundali barrage by 8 am today.
Although there is no threat of flooding in low-lying regions, waterlogging has raised concerns among the people.

✨The Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) alerted seven districts to monitor the situation after the release of water by the Hirakud Dam.
People residing on the riverside were alerted not to enter the Mahanadi, or allow their domestic animals to graze close to the river.
