Bhubaneswar, May 25: A massive fire broke out at a mattress factory near Mancheswar Railway Station, leading to the destruction of materials worth approximately Rs 10 crore. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.

According to reports, the fire spread rapidly due to highly flammable items stored in the factory, including foam, plastic, cotton, and fabric.

On being informed, firefighters rushed to the factory to douse the fire and brought the fire under control.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire may have been triggered by a short circuit, though officials are conducting further inquiries to determine the exact cause.

This alarming incident has raised concerns over fire safety measures in industrial facilities, prompting authorities to review safety protocols and prevention strategies to avoid such catastrophic losses in the future.
