Jagatsinghpur, Apr 28: Plastic pipes worth lakhs of rupees were reduced to ashes after a massive fire break out at Paradip Zero Point on Monday.

Reportedly, the fire spread rapidly, creating a thick layer of smoke that extended up to 4 kilometers.

On being informed, firefighters arrived at the scene and were pressed in service to douse the flames. Seven fire engines from nearby areas were deployed to control the situation.

While the cause of the fire remains unknown, an investigations into the incident is underway.

Police team also rushed to the site to oversee the operations and ensure public safety.
