Koraput, Aug 2: A man and his son were burnt alive after the bike they were travelling in collided with a speeding truck. The incident was reported at Narayanapatna block in Koraput district.

The identities of the deceased persons were not known immediately.

According to reports, the heart-wrenching accident occurred near Podagada Girls’ Ashram School. The impact of the collision was so severe that the motorcycle caught fire and as a result, the man and his son were charred to death.

Soon after the incident, the truck carrying kanwariyas fled the spot.

On being informed, police reached the spot and seized the bodies for post-mortem.

A case has been registered against the accused persons under relevant Sections of IPC and a man hunt has been launched to nab the absconding driver.
