Angul, May 6: A disturbing incident unfolded in Bagadia village under Bagadia police station, with a man being critically injured in his son's attack over money.

The victim, identified as Bhaskar Pradhan, was attacked by his son, Ajit Pradhan, after refusing to hand over cash.

According to reports, Bhaskar was sitting outside his home when Ajit approached him, demanding money. Upon refusal, Ajit allegedly became enraged, hurled verbal abuses, and proceeded to assault his father using a stone. The attack resulted in severe injuries to Bhaskar’s face and head.

Family members rushed Bhaskar to Bagadia Primary Health Center for initial treatment, before transferring him to Chhendipada Community Health Center due to the seriousness of his injuries.

Meanwhile, the victim's family has filed a complaint with the Bagadia police station in this regard. While the incident has sparked concern among locals, police have started an investigation.
