Subarnapur, Oct 26: A tragic incident unfolded in Barapadar village under Binika police station limits, where a man’s body was refused by his own family after his death.

Promod Bag, 38, had been seriously ill. His wife, Janani Bag, took him first to Kuchinda Medical and later to Burla’s Veer Surendra Sai Medical College for treatment. Sadly, he passed away during treatment.

Following his death, Janani brought his body back to their native village in a government hearse for the final rites. However, in a shocking turn, the family members refused to accept the body due to an ongoing family dispute.

Now, the body remains in the hearse parked at the station, while Janani and her 7-year-old son continue their vigil, pleading for justice and dignity for the deceased.
