Banki, Jan 11: Tension ran high, and vehicular movement was disrupted as brickbatting ensued between hooligans and villagers at Bhagipur in Cuttack district's Banki block on Saturday morning.
As many as four persons were injured. According to the information, some miscreants collected extortion from vehicles on the road at Bhagipur. They hurled stones at vehicles which didn't stop despite their warning. Villagers of Bhagipur opposed the youth's illegal act. This led to a conflict between the villagers and the miscreants. Subsequently, they brickbatted each other.
