Puri, Sept 1: In another major step to maintain discipline in the Shreemandir premises, the Mohan Majhi government has deployed 20 Ex-Servicemen in the temple premises to help devotees feel secure in all aspects inside the shrine.
The main objective of the deployment of Ex-Servicement is to ensure discipline and reformation in the Ananda Bazaar area where Mahaprasad is sold to devotees and around the temple within the boundary wall. The Ex-Servicemen would be on duty in two shifts.
While 10 of them will be on duty from 6 am to 2 pm, the 10 others will work from 2 pm to 10 pm.
Devotees will not be harassed in any manner. The retired Army personnel will help devotees in trouble inside the temple premises,said an official of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration.
