Every Woman Will Get Subhadra Scheme Amount As Promised: Dy CM Pravati Parida

Bhubaneswar, June 23: In an encouraging news for the women in Odisha, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida has assured that the promised amount will be paid to every women of the state.
Speaking on this regard, Parida said that the scheme is in drafting stage. "Subhadra Scheme is in drafting stage after the approval of the cabinet," said the Deputy CM.
"The scheme will be launched within 100 days. Every eligible woman citizen will get the scheme amount as promised. The Department of Women and Child Development is fully prepared for the initiative," she added.
The state government also sought partial support from the Centre for the implementation of the scheme to promote women's welfare through entrepreneurship, ease of living, and dignity for them. "We have also notified the Centre regarding the required budget for the scheme at the GST Council Meeting," asserted Parida, who is also the Minister of Women and Child Development, Mission Shakti, and Tourism.

✨On the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Parida has launched the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' (One Tree For A Mother) campaign. "Mission Shakti Department's aim is to plant 4.5 crore trees for 4.5 crore Odias," stated Parida.
"In the first phase, Mission Shakti women will plant 2.5 crore trees within 7 days. All the Mission Shakti women will plant a tree in their garden, or in their yard or on the roadside. Besides, everyone will take care of those trees like their mother.
"Earth is our mother. Therefore, every woman of Mission Shakti will plant a tree and take good care of it to protect earth and the environment," explained the Deputy CM.
Parida also said she will write letters to horticulture, agriculture and forest department as well as various nurseries to provide trees for the Mission Shakti women.
